The Association of Afghans Residing in Poland envisions a vibrant, empowered, and unified Afghan community that thrives in Poland while preserving its unique cultural identity and heritage. We aspire to create a society where every Afghan—regardless of age, gender, ability, or social background—has the opportunity to grow, contribute, and participate fully in social, educational, cultural, and economic life.

We see a community where:

  1. Cultural Identity is Celebrated – Afghan traditions, language, values, and heritage are actively preserved, promoted, and passed on to future generations, fostering pride, belonging, and intercultural understanding.
  2. Women and Youth Flourish – Women and young people are empowered to take leadership roles, access education and professional development, and fully participate in shaping the community’s social and cultural life.
  3. Persons with Special Needs are Included – Every member, including those with disabilities or special needs, is supported, valued, and enabled to participate in all aspects of community life, ensuring inclusivity and equity.
  4. Education and Knowledge Drive Growth – Education, skills development, and lifelong learning are prioritized, enabling community members to excel academically, professionally, and personally.
  5. Integration and Social Cohesion are Strengthened – Afghan immigrants are successfully integrated into Polish society, participating as active citizens while maintaining their cultural roots, through dialogue, collaboration, and mutual respect.
  6. Community Solidarity is Fostered – Members actively support one another, engage in volunteerism, and respond to social and humanitarian needs, strengthening bonds within the Afghan community and building bridges with the broader society.
  7. Sustainable Partnerships are Cultivated – The Association works collaboratively with Polish institutions, NGOs, cultural organizations, and international bodies to share knowledge, resources, and best practices, promoting resilience, visibility, and influence of the Afghan community in Poland.

Through this vision, the Association aims to become a beacon of cultural preservation, social empowerment, and community leadership, inspiring Afghans to thrive as active, responsible, and proud members of both the Afghan diaspora and Polish society.
