Mission

The mission of the Association of Afghans Residing in Poland is to empower, unite, and support the Afghan community in Poland by fostering cultural identity, social cohesion, and active participation in Polish society. We strive to create an inclusive environment that values diversity, promotes equal opportunities, and strengthens the capacities of all members, particularly women, youth, and persons with special needs.

Our mission is realized through:

1. Cultural Preservation and Promotion – We preserve and promote Afghan language, traditions, heritage, and values, ensuring that cultural identity remains strong across generations while fostering pride and belonging within the Afghan community.
2. Education and Capacity Building – We organize educational programs, workshops, and training in areas such as language proficiency, literacy, digital skills, and personal and professional development, empowering members to achieve their full potential and actively contribute to society.
3. Youth Empowerment – We invest in the growth and development of Afghan youth, providing educational, recreational, and cultural opportunities to nurture leadership skills, resilience, and civic engagement, preparing them to be responsible and proactive members of both the Afghan and Polish communities.
4. Support for Women and Families – We strengthen the role of women within families and society by promoting access to education, professional development, health, and social services. We aim to create a supportive network that enables women to participate fully and equally in all aspects of community life.
5. Assistance for Persons with Special Needs – We are committed to providing equal access, support, and opportunities for persons with disabilities or special needs, ensuring they are included in all activities, programs, and decision-making processes of the Association.
6. Integration and Social Inclusion – We facilitate the integration of Afghan immigrants into Polish society through orientation programs, intercultural dialogue, advocacy, and support in navigating legal, educational, and social systems, promoting legal migration and active citizenship.
7. Community Solidarity and Welfare – We encourage volunteerism, social responsibility, and collective action to address humanitarian needs, provide assistance to families in crisis, and enhance the overall quality of life within the Afghan community.
8. Partnership and Collaboration – We foster constructive cooperation with Polish institutions, NGOs, cultural organizations, and international bodies to share knowledge, resources, and best practices, ensuring sustainable growth, visibility, and influence of the Afghan community in Poland.

Through these efforts, the Association’s mission is to empower individuals, strengthen families, and build a resilient, cohesive, and culturally vibrant Afghan community that actively contributes to the development of Polish society while preserving its unique heritage.
